Navigating the portal
The layout of the configurator portal and what lives in each section.
The portal is a sidebar and a working area. The sidebar is the only navigation you need; everything else is reached from within a section.
The sidebar
Under Surveillance platform there are three destinations.
Overview
The landing view for the portal, and where you arrive after signing in.
Signal flows
The list of flows, and the way into the wizard for any one of them.
Logs
Every message the system has handled, plus the health dashboard.
The sidebar can be collapsed to icons using the control next to the breadcrumb. Its state is remembered between visits, so a collapsed sidebar stays collapsed on your next sign-in rather than flashing open and snapping shut.
At the foot of the sidebar are the quick actions — notifications and help — alongside the language and appearance controls, and the account menu carrying your name and the Log out action.
The header
The header shows a breadcrumb of where you are. Inside a flow it reflects the flow and the tab you are on, which is the fastest way back out to the flow list.
Working inside a flow
Selecting a flow opens its own workspace with tabs across the top:
- Wizard — the eight configuration steps, described in The flow wizard.
- Codes — the signal codes and EBS families for this flow, described in Codes and families.
- Versions — the publishing surface, described in Versions and publishing.
Work is saved against the flow explicitly. The workspace tells you when there are unsaved changes, and publishing is refused while any remain — see Versions and publishing for what that check covers.
Logs
Logs open on the message explorer. A second view, Overview, is the health dashboard for the pipeline as a whole. Both are covered in Logs and monitoring.
